“Richly researched...”
Being a major contributor of Enduring Legacy, I read Burjor K. Karanjia’s review "Richly researched record” (Books, Parsiana, August 21, 2009) with interest. The reviewer is to be commended for his painstakingly detailed review of a 1,168-page book. A good book deserves a good reviewer and the two have found each other. It is not possible for a reviewer to name all the names (and there are over a thousand names in this four-volume treasure trove) but I thought I should point out an omission, even at the risk of being called an egoist.
I contributed half of Volume IV, the entire Chapter "A Gentleman’s Game — Legendary Cricketers.” Novy Kapadia had covered other sports in this Volume. Novy is mentioned, as he should be for his tremendous efforts. But my research on Parsi cricketers (male and female), cricket writers and broadcasters is not mentioned by the reviewer. I thought I should point out this omission on the reviewer’s part.
