Ruckus over Rampal

Do our trustees have nothing better to do than to take up such trivial issues to demonstrate their zeal for protecting the religion as in "Parsis seek apology from Arjun Rampal over ‘hurtful’ remark,” which appeared in The Times of India on August 8, 2009?

Firoza Mistree’s bigoted statement about purifying the fire temple because an eight-year-old boy entered it without wrongful intent is shameful, and puts her in the same category as Hindu fundamentalist organizations like the Bajrang Dal! Are they going to forcibly remarry Parsi girls married out to worthy Parsi boys? And we thought Parsis are mature! All such people want is cheap publicity. I do not think they speak for the majority of Parsis.
