“Use of plastic cover”
Don’t, for goodness sake, let Soonu Jal ("Use of plastic cover,” Readers’ Forum, Parsiana, July 7, 2009) spoil my anticipated pleasures.
Shortly after Parsiana had recourse to plastic covers for mailing its semimonthlies, I found myself praying that your esteemed journal would be published weekly in its wondrously designed envelope. This is why: one of your near-zero friction plastic sheaths had allowed a local letter addressed to a neighbor to slide in between flap and contents. Doing the good-neighborly thing, I delivered the errant item to its default address.
And behold, Mazda does smile upon sinners athirst! The very next day, a delighted addressee called around with outstretched bottle of the finest vino she could procure as a token of thanks. Her awaited mail had contained a sizeable cheque, and her gratitude overflowed to me via the local off-licence.
