Moshe
Gunfire, bombs, terror everywhere
Bodies, bloodied, cries rent the air
People killed brutally — several maimed
Hundreds affected — can’t be named.
From chaotic madness and gruesome
gore
A single face, to me, comes to the fore
Innocent, helpless, insecure
So much sorrow he has to endure.
Just turned two, this lovely child
Orphaned by terrorists, mad and wild
Little Moshe — I wish I could dry your
tears
Hold you tight — dispel your fears.

Moshe Holtzberg with his father Rabbi Gavriel
Now you are so little and frail,
Soon you’ll grow and feel the betrayal
But, little one, don’t dwell in revenge or
hate
The act was heinous, ’twas cruel fate.
Your father was a good rabbi,
Tragic for one so young to die.
I feel your pain, irrecoverable loss
All your life, you’ll bear this cross.
But your father was a man of God
Your gentle mother, close to the Lord.
They’d not want you to harbor hate
They’d wish you’d keep hope and faith.
So, little Moshe, when you go to your
land,
Grow with love and peace — take God’s
hand
May angels guide your tiny little feet
So when you grow, your life be sweet.
