Training for youth

I have selected the subject “The training and employment opportunities for Parsi Zoroastrians, in Parsi establishments after SSC/HSC,” for a three-month study under the aegis of the National Commission for Minorities, New Delhi, in order to bring awareness in the Parsi community of the work culture which has totally changed in the present times. Youngsters need to enter the work force immediately after the basic school education and not spend their youthful years in higher education courses that are available through distance education.
Every industry recruits young hands to be trained as apprentices/interns to their specific job requirements. Graduates/postgraduates are rejected as they do not have the technical know-how required by the industry.
Fortunately, being pioneers in almost every field of work, Parsis have the resources, expertise and zeal to prepare the young generation for a correct choice of career and to guide their future. Youngsters need to be placed in Parsi establishments under experienced hands to learn the basic skills and techniques for a couple of years to enable them to be absorbed into employment early in life.
Parsi establishments are willing to train students in architecture, interior design, furniture design, graphics, marketing, electrical, plumbing, HVAC (heating, ventilation and air-conditioning), mechanical, construction, project management, human resources, finance, information technology, corporate sales, accounts/custom documentation, submitting online, commercial accounts/accountancy/administration, tours, ticketing, secretarial office administration, information technology education, hardware maintenance (computer), engineering workshop (industrial training), tours and travels and hospitality. Those who are interested in availing of such training should write to the undersigned at C-12 Cusrow Baug, 108 Shahid Bhagat Singh Road, Bombay 400039 or by e-mail to md.bengalee@nic.in or mathewquartet@gmail.com
