A man of caliber

It is indeed unfortunate that a person of the caliber of Behram T. Dastur is no longer the chief executive officer of the Bombay Parsi Punchayet.
My friend for over 60 years, Dastur comes from an illustrious family. His father was an Avestan scholar and an authority of English literature. His maternal grand uncle Dhanjisha Jal was the founder of the then most well-known Zoroastrian Boarding High School at Deolali. For 60 years Jal served as principal of the school, without taking a single day off, which is a record.
Dastur, highly qualified in business management/administration is a man of impeccable character, integrity, honesty, dedication and sincerity. While some of his views may be radical, he supports them with his deep study of our scriptures. An upright man of conviction, he never takes refuge behind "I was misquoted by the media.” Very well read, he is a man with phenomenal general knowledge. He has also figured in the prestigious Guinness Book of World Records for the maximum number of letters to various publications. I wish my dear friend a happy retirement.
