Munificent Mehenti

While browsing through the Golden Jubilee Souvenir of the Reform Club of Ahmedabad, which was a splinter club of the Ahmedabad Parsi Gymkhana, and which was originally "exclusively a Parsee Club,” established in 1914, I read that "Mr Phirozeshah Mehenti, colliery owner, gave a generous contribution of Rs 20,000.” Being interested in the history of the Parsis of Ahmedabad, I wish to trace the antecedents of this munificent donor of 1914 in Ahmedabad and would be thankful if readers would throw some light on the matter.
