“Self help”
In my letter "Self help” (Readers’ Forum, Parsiana, August 2003) I had written about Jasmin Darrayas Mistry who was widowed at the young age of 36 and is earning a living for her two minor children and herself by stitching school uniforms. At that time she was in need of a small shop in central Bombay from which she could operate but was lacking in funds.
After reading the letter one noble soul gave her a garage in his compound at a token rent of Re 1 for five years. Mistry was able to operate her business very efficiently from there and she now has several schools under contract. Unfortunately, this garage is now slated for demolition as a builder will be constructing a new building there. Mistry urgently needs garage space elsewhere. Will someone come forward and help her out? Mistry can be contacted at 9821405673.
