“So they say”

The quote by columnist Ruby Lilaowala in "So they say” (Parsiana, December 7, 2006) is totally inaccurate when she says about Parsi families in Penang: "...but today there are none!” I know of at least one — my own sister-in-law Nergish and her husband Paul Maneksha have been in Penang for over 35 years, and are still there. They raised three children there, two of whom are now in Ireland and one in Kuala Lumpur. In fact they had a post-wedding reception in Penang at the end of October 2006 for their son Rustom who was married in Ireland earlier in that year.

What a pity Lilaowala missed it!
