Seeking a blessing

I was in an embarrassing position once when asked to recite a blessing for the inauguration of a family business. Others present, Bahai, Hindu, Muslim, Christian were able to say a prayer from their scriptures, but I had no idea which of our short prayers, would constitute a blessing for any project.

Could any of your readers please enlighten me?
