Freemason’s fiftieth

On his completion of 50 years in Freemasonry on April 17, 2004, Behramshaw Jal Kalianwala (affectionately known as Bobby) was honored with a 50 years’ breast jewel and a leather laser-engraved citation by the members of Lodge Universal Brotherhood No 3835 EC where he was initiated by his father in 1954. Over the years "his indefatigable enthusiasm and dedication to Freemasonry have won him numerous ranks and offices in the District and the Grand Lodge,” notes a press release from the District information officer Joe D’Silva who writes, "Very few Freemasons are destined to complete 50 glorious years in the fraternity...”

Kalianwala: indefatigable

A qualified chartered accountant, Kalianwala spent a major part of his life with Parke Davis and Company finally retiring as its internal audit manager in 1988. He is on the board of governors of the Institute of Internal Auditors of Florida, USA and was the president of its Bombay chapter. On the board of several companies he has served as nominee director, states the press release.
