Fire officer feted

A few issues earlier you had printed an article on L. S. D. Mehervanjee, retired chief fire officer, Bombay Fire Brigade.

On February 4, Mehervanjee was honored with a scroll of honor by The Institute of Fire Engineers (India) at the recently concluded Fire Exhibition 2004 "in recognition of his achievements and selfless contributions to the cause of fire service...and (the) spread of fire safety culture in India.”

He is the first recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award instituted by the Fire Protection Association of India.
