“Sojourn to Sanjan”

The film about the solar concentrators ("Sojourn to Sanjan,” Readers’ Forum, Parsiana, February 2003) was not my film. The National Geographic Channel of Australia, contacted me after a report on the subject appeared in Time magazine.

Moreover, I have never stated that the Hindus should substitute their traditional method of cremation wherein one and a half tree is used to burn each corpse. This was the message of the film, wherein a traditional Hindu cremation is shown and then a solar concentrator, demonstrating thereby that large-scale deforestation could be averted in India through this simple device.
