“Some misconceptions”
Thank you for publishing my letter ("Some misconceptions,” Readers’ Forum, Parsiana, November 7, 2012), but how was my address shown as New Jersey, USA when I live in Calcutta?
If we are not planting trees, we are disobeying religious injunctions — as we are doing
when we are cutting trees. In any case, planting of trees and reforestation has become a vital
need. Each and every person who can afford it wishes to build a house. Many houses built and flats bought only for investment purposes, not necessity, add to the problem. Zarathustra laid emphasis on preserving the environment way back in 6000 BC when very few people foresaw that it would become such a major issue.

Parsiana regrets the error. We have a subscriber in New Jersey with the same name.
