Zoroastrians Abroad
In Zartoshty’s memory
A new religion education scholarship fund has been established in memory of the late philanthropist Mobed Faridoon Zartoshty under the aeges of the Federation of Zoroastrian Associations of North America (FEZANA). An e-mail from its president Firdosh Mehta thanks Zartoshty’s daughters Pari, Homayoun, Iran and Farangis, for their generous donation to FEZANA that has enabled the institution of the Mobed Faridoon Zartoshty Scholarship/s to enable Zarathushti individuals to pursue higher studies and research on the Zarathushti religion at any recognized center of higher learning anywhere in the world.
The eligibility criteria and selection of awardee/s for the scholarship/s rests with FEZANA’s Religion Education Committee, notes the missive. It is understood that the awardee/s will be expected to share the tangible benefits of their study/research with FEZANA and/or the Zarathushti community.
