Riding high

By Farrokh Jijina · December 7-December 20, 2020
Twenty-three-year-old Surat-based automobile engineering diploma holder Ruzbeh Master’s prototype of a three-wheeled motor cycle has won him an entry into the Asia Book of Records 2020. "I have been recognized for the all-wheel-driven reverse trike using the engine of a Maruti 800,” he told Parsiana on November 22, 2020, showing us a copy of the February 7 certificate. "The two front wheels and the single rear wheel are powered by propellor shafts from the engine,” notes the certificate.
The diploma holder in automobile engineering from Surat’s Bhagwan Mahavir Polytechnic made an entry into the India Book of Records, 2018, for a both-wheel-powered motorcycle which used a car engine. "I have a patent for the model,” he told us. Two years before that, Master made it to the Limca Book of Records 2016 for a prototype of a hybrid motorcycle that can use both fuel and batteries. "I have been inspired by my father Gav’s work” as an in-charge in the electrical department of the Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology, Ruzbeh told us.
