Ignited by imagination
For the academic year 2005-06 Dravaspe Homavazir emerged top ranker with 81.24 percent in production engineering at the final year diploma course in production engineering conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education for students from Maharashtra. He was also presented a certificate of honor for securing the highest marks in elements of costing and finance in production engineering. Earlier he studied at the Father Agnel Technical College and he is presently a student of Father Conceicao Rodrigues College of Engineering. His state level technical paper on "Product Life Cycle Management” won him an inter-collegiate trophy, notes his life profile forwarded by Zend Zend of Yazdani Bakery. When he applied for admission for the second year production engineering degree course at the V. J. T. I. Engineering College he stood first on the merit list, mentions his mother Pervin.

Homavazir: enjoys challenges
"I enjoy challenges,” says 19-year-old Homavazir who four years earlier had set himself a project of converting the humble Maruti 800 into a Ferrari-like dream machine — a result of two years of toil, chiseled by a mind ignited by imagination and trained to focus and concentrate since childhood when he won interschool, state and national chess tournaments, mentions the press release. Mastering the Tata Motors on-job training course in just 15 days, instead of the usual six months, earned him the sole distinction of being assigned to their engineering research center division.
For optimum exposure to global trends and techniques, he is hoping to do his postgraduation abroad as bachelor courses at good universities required funding of Rs 60 lakhs for four years, an amount which the family found difficult to raise, reports Pervin.
