Blood pressure study

Our environment affects our health; the question is how and how much?
To improve health and prevent disease in a population, comparisons have to be made and studied. Data is very essential for understanding population health.
In a Single Ethnic Study of High blood pressure and Local Neighbourhood Environment (SESHLoNE), I am seeking to understand if there are within populations, differences based on where people live, while keeping certain factors constant.
The study includes young Parsi adults, living in Greater Bombay. The ethnicity control (only Parsis) allows for the hereditary influence to be insulated to an extent. The age limitation is essential because probability of high blood pressure increases with age. Ageing leads to loss of elasticity in arteries and veins, and hormonal changes. The restrictions on age and ethnicity help to amplify the study of neighborhood environments by confining known influences on blood pressure.
The Parsi community in Bombay lives in three distinct neighborhoods in the city, thus providing an opportunity to study neighborhood infrastructure in relation to health outcome.
The Parsi baugs, the exclusively-Parsi buildings, and Parsis living in cosmopolitan neighborhoods are three distinct constructs within the city of Bombay. These three residential constructs are not distinct by individual or family incomes but definitely by sociocultural environment and community resources.
For this study, a representative sample would mean:
equal representation of Parsis in cosmopolitan neighborhoods, baugs, as well as exclusive Parsi apartments and colonies;
equal representation of males and females;
equal representation of all age groups from those born in the years 1965 to 1999.
To qualify as a Parsi, both your parents and all grandparents must be Parsi.
I request young Parsis to participate and others to connect me with young Parsi adults, especially those living in cosmopolitan neighborhoods. High blood pressure is a condition that can lead to poor quality of life, other diseases, and early death.
All data is confidential, and no identifying data will be collected. Individual information will not be revealed in any way during or after the study.
