Loving the law

By Farrokh Jijina · November 21, 2017
Bharucha and Partners (BP), the combined entity that arose on November 1, 2017 from the merger of Bombay based full-service law firm Bharucha and Partners and Delhi headquartered Arthe Law, will have 12 partners and 80 lawyers, according to a report in The Economic Times (ET) of October 17. BP will offer legal services in mergers and acquisitions, competition law, private equity, banking and finance among a host of others, according to the report. Partners will include Marzban, Alka and Justin Bharucha, besides others.
Marzban told the newspaper that "in a short time” Arthe, which was formed earlier this year by the merger of two legal firms, TMT Law Practice, a boutique technology and media law firm, and DPSA Legal, "has built a very successful practice.” Partner in the merged entity and founder of DPSA Legal D. P. Singh was quoted as saying, "All of us are in this partnership because we love the law.”
