The trio met while in music school. They are best known as a "rock/fusion jam band that play the blues, funk, reggae, alt-rock, jazz and are best known for a blend of rock and Carnatic music. Their music is a culmination of their "distinct original music, pop covers, psychedelic sections, swapping genre and having intricate solo sections,” Marshall explains.
This year has been a productive one for the three as they have wrapped up work on their debut album titled The Family Cheese LP which was recorded at the Yash Raj Film Studio and released online on November 24. The band has also finished work on another music video called Stories of the places you’ve never been, which is scheduled for a January 2017 launch.
After two years of performing together Marshall and Rustumji discovered that they are related, the former reveals. Rustumji is Marshall’s grand uncle, though he’s just a year older! "We jokingly tell people that we need Apurv, who is a staunch Christian-Hindu to get a quick navjote, which would then make us a bawa trio,” Marshall shares.
