Gathas and persuasion
The Gathas, apart from being the earliest and most authentic scriptures, are a treasure house in many respects. They reveal Ahura Mazda’s message to Zarathushtra, the creation of the twin spirits (from the very beginning), the latter’s privations, fortitude and his resistance to all forms of temptation. They spell out the treasons and stratagems of those gone astray, the several obstructions created in his path (of preaching a rejuvenated religion) and his determination to win them over by persuasion, love, explanation, conviction, revealing the verities of light and darkness, heaven and hell, and truth and perfidy.
Nowhere — not even once — does Zarathushtra talk of force, coercion, conquest, subjugation, terror or militarism.
"Peace hath her victories, more renowned than war.” B. T. DASTUR
