Intolerance
As they say thank God for small mercies,/ Or else what would happen to the poor Parsi?
We always greet each other with a hug and a kiss./ Be it old or young, men or women, or a strapping miss!
We do this without the slightest hesitation or thought,/ Never having to think it’s sexual, or unnatural rot.
Imagine now what if the moral police barges in on a Parsi festivity/ And sees all the khana peena and kissi koti?
Imagine what they would do when such a scene they see, whenever we meet/ As this is the only way the Parsis know how to greet!
Imagine being put in police vans, followed by a convoy of cars/ As we are rounded up from the baugs and put behind bars?
Imagine this sight on Bombay’s roads, pray,/ No Marathi manoos has seen such a scene I’d say.
Imagine now what breaking news this would be,/ Not only for India but globally?
Twisted untruths "All Parsis rounded up for vulgarity,/ One did not expect this from Modi’s favorite minority!”
Sunsuni Khabar, shocking, truth of this community,/ Is in the open at last, for all to see in the Indian fraternity.
Scantily clad, high, hugging and kissing they indulge in./ It’s their way of life they don’t consider it a sin.
But we don’t tolerate this from others, so why this from them we say,/ "This is Hindustan and you too need to follow our way.”
So bawas let’s not push our luck that we too would come in their eye,/ Let’s not do things that catch their eye!
Let’s not at a drop of a hat wash our dirty linen in public media, henceforth I hope,/ Let’s change with the times as only then for survival we have scope!
