Mysterious voting mark

During the NDTV program analyzing the five phased Bihar legislative elections in October-November 2015 Dr Pranoy Roy was visibly distracted by the voting mark on psephologist Dorab Sopariwala’s left forefinger. He wanted to know how Sopariwala, a resident of Bombay, had managed to vote in Bihar.

Dorab Sopariwala: inked finger

The mystery was unraveled when Sopariwala revealed that he had voted at the Bombay Parsi Punchayet trusteeship elections held in Bombay less than a fortnight earlier! He had cast his vote at the Cusrow Baug center and gave details on the channel about how the BPP had electronic voting machines in five centers to elect five new trustees for a board of seven.
