Joining in for Jayanti

On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti on October 2, 2014, Rusi Dalal represented the Zoroastrians of the UK by offering floral tributes at a function organized by the Indian High Commissioner to the UK, Ranjan Mathai. Representatives of various Indian organizations, business groups, faith leaders, members of Parliament, mayors and councillors paid their homage before Mahatma Gandhi’s statue at Tavistock Square in central London, stated Dalal. The gathering was also informed by Mathai of the proposal to install Gandhi’s statue at Parliament Square alongside those of other world leaders like Winston Churchill and Nelson Mandela.
