Homage to Hormusji

The Bombay Parsee Association (BPA) paid homage to Sir Hormusji Cowasjee Dinshaw Adenwalla on his 156th birth anniversary on April 4, 2013. Many notables were present at the statue of the honoree in Fort, which was garlanded by BPA president Vispi Dastur as well as FOZAWAC (Federation of Zoroastrian Associations for Welfare and Culture) president Adi Mehta, Cmde Aspi Marker and Rustom Cooper, as per a write-up sent to Parsiana by the BPA.

Hormusji was founder patron of the BPA and founder president of the Iran League (IL), Dastur recounted. He had established the family business and helped Mahatma Gandhi. Bombay Parsi Punchayet (BPP) trustee Khojeste Mistree, BPP public relations officer Godrej Dotivala, Marker, Mehta and community historian Marzban Giara also spoke on the occasion. Flowers were offered on behalf of the BPA, IL, Cowasjee Dinshaw Trust, Navsari Parsee Association and the Bombay Municipal Corporation, mentions the write-up.
Ervad Asphandiar Dadachanji led the humbandagi and snack boxes were provided by Marker.
