Parzor’s new site
1600 BC to 1600; Parsi Zoroastrians: From Persia to Akbar’s Court; Weaving a Story of Culture, Continuity and Change, is a web presentation by the Parzor Foundation on Google Cultural Institute. Curated by Parzor founder Dr Shernaz Cama and researcher Vanshika Singh, the colorful and informative initiative takes viewers through 3,500 years of the history of the religion and the community using graphic, written and audio content. The vivid background stained glass images are by artist Katayun Saklat while content expertise is from Rukshana Shroff and Kerman Mehta who co-wrote the book Joyous Flame: The Parsi Zoroastrians published by Parzor in 2001. Roshan Dandivala, the Farohar Children of the Delhi Parsi Anjuman and M. E. Joshi Memorial Trust are responsible for the folk songs and monajats. Photography and film are by Hemant and Dushyant Mehta as well as Ashdeen Lilaowala.
