Space experience

Principal Gool Ghadiali accompanied 16 students of the Gopal Sharma Group of schools on a recent 12-day visit to the USA, of which a three-day camp organized at the Kennedy Space Center [National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA)] in Orlando was the highlight. The students, several of whom were Parsis, participated in an Astronaut Training Experience certification course which exposed them to the zero gravity experience, various live space shuttles including the Apollo and Atlantis, interaction with astronauts, engineering challenges, shuttle launch in a simulator and travel in space through a 4D IMAX theater, mentions an email received from Ghadiali.

The students interacted with astronauts and learnt from them what it takes to choose this field as a career option. "This exposure for my students… provided an excellent opportunity for their overall development,” mentions Ghadiali in the email. The group also visited other cities and places of interest. The trip was organized by Adventure Tours and Travels.
