Parsi matrimonial court
I am not at all surprised at the caustic comments made by Justice Gautam Patel of the Bombay High court about the manner in which the Parsi Matrimonial Court functions.
During my 10 consecutive years as the chief executive officer of the Bombay Parsi Punchayet I had observed that the Matrimonial Court was most irregular in its functioning and advised the board to ask for more frequent meetings.
Meeting only twice a year is unacceptable. The Court must meet every quarter. The long gap in between meetings is hard on litigants and distressing for children (where involved).
Patel was very right in commenting that the Parsi Matrimonial Court must move with the times and technology.
