“Painful prose”

I was dismayed on reading the review "Painful prose” (Books, Parsiana, April 7, 2014) by Rohinton Mody. It was as if the reviewer held a grudge against the poor author. In my opinion, we must promote writers who are trying to remind readers about the torture and humiliations our ancestors had to undergo. After all, this book is not a text on grammar. Why be so harsh over tiny grammatical lapses or the switching of a name or two? If we think with our hearts and read this book, it will definitely revive a sense of duty towards Zarathushtra and his teachings. I think it is a great way of instilling values of our duty towards our revered Prophet.
Friends and family members who read the book found it very interesting as it stirs up feelings about the pain and humiliation our ancestors had to undergo. Today we are just not bothered about this great religion of ours and the apathy, indifference we have developed towards it and Parsipanu is widely experienced.
We should all unite and work to inculcate a sense of deep responsibility towards our religion in our children. If we can do this, half our problems will be solved with interfaith marriages coming to a halt. We would have three kids and just one car and not vice versa.
