Patuck solar power
Another educational institution in Bombay has installed a solar power generating system. This is "in furtherance of our objective of building an eco-friendly environment for the future generation,” stated Adil Patuck, chairman of the Patuck Education Trust at the inauguration of the first solar power generation system on their premises. The honors were done by Pavan Saraf, a well-wisher of the institution, mentions an email received by Parsiana from community web activist Yazdi Tantra.

The motivation for the management of Patuck College to undertake environment friendly activities is the thought that "each of us need to do our bit.” Operating in the field of education for the past 80 years, the Patuck-Gala College in Bombay’s suburbs has been educating youth with the aim of making them employable to ensure safety and security in their future lives. The forward-looking institution is working toward conserving energy by installing solar panels on its campus. These panels, which have a 25-year lifespan, will save up to 30% of the institution’s daily requirement of power and it is hoped that the initial investment will be recovered within five years, the email mentions.
Avesta Solar, headed by Burgis Balsara was the service partner which helped in making this project a reality, the email notes.
