Our priorities today

Do the figures of birth and death, in you raise an alarm?/ Or should we still sleep over it, there is yet no harm.
Nothing within us, seems to stir or our peace disturb/ Or is it, like an ostrich, with eyes closed, our fears we curb?
Not once, before selecting our partner, do we think of our community/ Always, our personal life, preference, is given top priority.
Think they, "How does it matter, anyway we were to perish 1,400 years back/ Our ancestors simply wasted their all, to protect this ungrateful pack.”
Decided firmly we have, for our community, we, a thing will not do/ Who cares if we perish, anyway nobody left will be, to rue.
Our motto has become, "There is no reason why, do nothing, just die.”/ That’s why to marry out, not to have children, or stay single, we are not shy.
