Eliminate this evil
Why do we find a hostile attitude among our youngsters, especially girls, towards the Zoroastrian faith? Parsi girls regard people from other castes as angels. I wonder whether they believe in humata, hukta, huvrashta. Perhaps it is a case of ghar ki murgi dal barabar (anything easily available at home is not valued). Do they believe our religion is inferior? Do they wish to marry into other castes to go abroad and become non resident Indians? Do they not know the difference between the pauper and the prince (Parsi)? Or do they feel they can be happy only by marrying a crorepati? Have they been blinded by black magic?
God will not help those who have lost faith in their own religion and marry outside the fold. Nobody will tolerate or support those who have married a juddin. They have betrayed their parents, religion and society by this act and should bear the consequences.
I wish to suggest ways and means by which to eliminate such marriages in our community:
Members of either sex should cease to be a Parsi from the date of such a marriage.
They should not get any financial help for education, illness or housing from any funds or trusts.
Forms for financial help should be revised accordingly.
Any money they may have received in the past should be recovered with interest if they enter into such a marriage.
Their future generations should not have any rights to such benefits.
An inspection committee should identify such cases and expose them before the community.
The Parsi media should play an important role to expose such illicit activities to reduce unlawful behavior.
The above conditions should also apply to those who unlawfully live with persons from other communities without being married.
All orthodox and God fearing Parsis should get together to launch a struggle to suppress this evil from our society.
