Federation in Delhi
The next executive council meeting of the Federation of the Parsi Zoroastrian Anjumans of India (FPZAI) is scheduled for September 1 and 2, 2012 in New Delhi. The previously agreed venue of Jabalpur in November has been cancelled. As per the FPZAI rules a meeting is to be held every six months although there was a period when due to differences, meetings were not held for two years.
Alternate meetings in a year are held in Bombay. As the last meeting was held in Bombay on February 11 and 12, 2012, the next meeting would have been due in August 2012. Jabalpur was requested to shift the date from November to August or opt for the first meeting in 2013.
The Parsi Anjuman, Jabalpur, a staunch supporter of the World Alliance of Parsi Irani Zarthoshtis (WAPIZ), turned down both offers insisting on the November date. The FPZAI sent letters to several anjumans inquiring if they would host the meet. Delhi took up the offer.
