Decline in moral values

The decline in moral values of the Parsis is far more dangerous than the decline in their numbers. The only way to save our community is to focus on religious and moral education and realize the importance of training our younger generation to develop a spirit of sacrifice rather than chasing material possessions. We all need to set a good example, as example is better than precept.
For the past 50 years our community has been fed a diet of free food, free education, free/subsidized medical care, subsidized housing. Flats in charity buildings are kept locked for years by selfish people. There is enough for everyone’s need but not enough for everyone’s greed.
