Silver jubilee conference
The two-day world congress to mark the ending of its silver jubilee year, organized by the All India Shah Behram Baug Society, Mazdayasnie Monasterie and Medicina Alternativa, and held at the Russian Centre for Science and Culture in Bombay on January 28 and 29, 2012, stimulated exchange of ideas and original research to benefit humanity, mentions an e-mail received from Dr Meher Master-Moos, president of Zoroastrian College. The Congress, flagged off by a peace promotion ceremony of prayers from all religions, was organized by Dr Bhupen Vyas of Baroda and his team in coordination with Khurshid Cooper of Zoroastrian College and Master-Moos herself.

Bapoo Malcolm receives honorary doctorate as Meher Master-Moos looks on
Prof Vladimir Ivanov of Moscow State University shared his research findings on the difference in pronunciation between Iranian Zoroastrians and Indian priests during recitation of the Avesta. Dr Alexander Trofimov of Siberia presented his research on starlights aura photography. Both Russian scholars signed memoranda of understanding with Zoroastrian College for future collaboration. Boris Fedotov, president of the Kazakhstan Zoroastrian Society spoke of the revival of Zoroastrianism in the vast areas of the steppes, the e-mail mentions. Master-Moos spoke of her own research findings including the 5,500-year-old Zoroastrian settlement in Arkayim which she had visited in 2008. Over 150 delegates from India attended the Congress along with others from Sri Lanka, UK, Canada, USA and Iran.
At the function 24 persons received doctorate degrees, of which six were honored with honorary doctorates in literature. In their number was lawyer Bapoo Malcolm, for his Bombay High Court petition filed in the matter of the Russian Zoroastrian Herbad Mikhail Chistyakov and Master-Moos.
