“It’s a small world”

There was once a saying freely applied to inept persons: "They open their mouths only to change feet.” This can now be confidently revived to fit those who figure in "It’s a small world” (Editorial Viewpoint, Parsiana, November 7, 2011), followed by the article "Global gateway” on the Global Working Group (GWG) in the same issue. Those wonderful pieces have been greeted with great mirth and much pointed forehead tapping.
It seems some doggedly enterprising draughtsmen from North America and India have come together to join hands at London to form GWG and a Code of Civil Conduct (CCC). The former are well-known constitution framers; the latter design concentric circles. The Cinema crew, flush with success of the sesquicentennial events, have issued their usual cock-and-bull communiqués — clearly a case of what the deaf man heard the dumb man tell what the blind man saw! Pity they failed to consult what Dadabhai Naoroji had to say on such Parsis — coincidentally in 1861. Some irony!
A corrective to your Editorial’s protest at the awkward acronym GWG: It is in fact most apposite — check this out with your Pahlavisants — for, as gog-, it is spot-on to aptly describe "sulphurous!”
"Obedience” smacks of bare-faced Abrahamic prescription. Its condescending context is utterly disgraceful, for here are the very same suspects who indulged in discrimination, insulting behavior and rank underhandedness in their dealings with all who dissented from their low-level crypto-Islamism. For them to now brazenly posture as reconcilers is despicable — only the feeble-minded will be taken in by such manipulation from impudent, self-serving control freaks. Long live dhongiism? For sure!
Quite recently an Iranian divulged that Zarathushti co-religionists still smarted from Irun junglee (uncivilized Iranis) taunts, concluding with "We just feel we are here on sufferance.” So much for dhongi "conciliation!” And so indeed they remain, until reaching for their wallets when, suddenly, they are staunch, munificent, portrait-worthy Zoroastrians.
"Obedience” firmly belongs to the Abrahamic systems; for Zarathushtra and all decent-minded Mazdayasnians sraosha/sarosh exactly meant "hearkening” and its practice through individual choice and free-will. For this sulphurous "world body” to preen and pose as central authority is blasphemous and heretical to a degree: it is wholly unZoroastrian.
Since receipt of the November 7 issue of Parsiana, two further world bodies have been formed: 10 a.m., GAGA: Galactic Assembly of Ganda Athornans; and 11 a.m., in full opposition, HAHA: Hooligan Association of Handagiri Andhyarus. Communiqués will be issued as and when their single-circled centers feel like it. Memberships are restricted, their lists have closed, and the Parsi Press will be rigorously excluded.
