The Albless Cash-i-no

jal desai... poet sans compare/ why only girls do you dare/ to ridicule — when the boys/ still insist on playing only with their toys?

when hard work and good marks/ scare the little dikras/ when instead of soaring like larks/ they are tethered to their comfy beds.../ or worse, the dadar five gardens railing till well well after dark.../ trying so hard to walk the walk and talk the talk,/ in reality, fragile egos and hot air in the head!

face it... they are pampered like silly hens,/ "boys will be boys after all...”/ and boys they will remain verily.../ still boys... never becoming men.

parsi girls today, pretty and efficient/ don’t need a husband with cash,/ the parsi boys are so deficient,/ while the girls earn plenty o’cash!

the girls want someone at their level,/ independent, cute, responsible and dependable,/ to our dikras these words are unfathomable!

if parsi boys want the pretty young things too,/ it isn’t any mystery what they should do/ instead of just fiddle and faddle,/ wake up, put the pedal to the metal,/ nose to the grindstone,/ egos on the backburner/ go the extra mile, get off your high horse,/ then assuredly, you will be able to sing/ of the pretty parsi lovely thing .....of yours!

me — I’m just an amateur poet,/ cannot compete with your finesse,/ however, taught by experience i write/ and so, i know that i am right!
