Tackling traffic troubles
"Since Parsis are habitually honest and always follow the rules of the road, we have appointed two of them on our Tardeo Sub Divisional Committee for Traffic Cooperation,” says Senior Traffic Inspector of Police, Sushil S. Bangale of Tardeo Division, Bombay. The two are photographer Rashid D. Bamanbehram, formerly Special Executive Magistrate and Adi Modi, former Special Executive Officer of the Government of Maharashtra, as per information received by Parsiana from the former.

This is part of a citywide initiative to appoint citizens to help understand and ease the traffic problems that people have to contend with during rush hours. In the densely Parsi populated area of Tardeo, the committee has already had an introductory meeting and Bangale has indicated that intelligent suggestions put forward will be implemented, the press note reveals.
