“From ‘Baby’ to...’”
May I take the liberty of adding a few words in tribute to that splendid lady caterer of our community, Tanaz Godiwalla ("From ‘Baby’ to ‘Big Boss,’” Parsiana, March 7, 2011)?
I had often tasted her mother’s fare as a guest but only got to know Godiwalla when she catered for our golden wedding function. My one instruction to her was that I wanted everything Parsi and all dishes from A to Z. There was to be none of this modern nonsense of paella or parathas and to hell with the expenses, I wanted pomfret.
By Parsi standards my party was small, held on naval land and all sitting down together in one go. Godiwalla was given a free hand and she turned up trumps. It was a superb eight course meal and it was my pleasure to take her around on a valedictory lap of introduction to meet the guests and receive their praise and thanks.

Then, three years ago Godiwalla did the same for our diamond wedding reception and again excelled herself. She has a heart as large as herself and for the community she has always come forward most willingly to help. She has the most perfect complexion, a real peaches and cream one, beating hollow all Hollywood/Bollywood actresses.
