Zubin Karkaria has been appointed chief executive officer (CEO) and managing director (MD) of VFS Global with effect from May 1, 2011. Karkaria has been CEO and MD of Kuoni India, a premium travel and tour operator, for six years and will continue there as non executive chairman. VFS (Visa Facilitation Services) Global is a subsidiary of the over 100-year-old, Switzerland-based Kuoni Group. With 425 offices in 52 countries, VFS Global handles millions of visa applications each year for diplomatic missions of various countries including the US, UK, Canada, Australia, etc, as per the VFS website.
