Crash course for navars
Some agiaries in Bombay conduct a six-week crash course for prospective navars, quite a few of whom come from abroad. Can an athornan boy become a navar in such a short time? How many Has of the Yazashne can they memorize? How many other rituals are they able to master in just six weeks?
How many of our high priests (and pseudo-priests) who do not wish to dilute anything accept this practice without a murmur? Will some principled high priest, or those who run the two madressas in Bombay stand up and clarify? Will the Athornan Mandal speak up?
