Bangalore’s Shahvir Tarapore is among the 18 umpires officiating at the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2011. A member of the Emirates International Panel of ICC Umpires, Tarapore is one of the six appointed from Asia (two from India) and will be in action as on-field, third or fourth umpire as per the schedule, states the ICC website.

Shahvir Tarapore: umpiring in the World Cup
With the new DRS (Decision Review System, also popularly known as UDRS — Umpire Decision Review System) coming into play and creating heat and dust (as well as increasing umpires’ stress levels!), the ICC announced on March 7 that correct decisions in the World Cup have risen from an average of 90.18 percent to 97.82 percent, thanks to the use of the DRS which is "helping umpires who are maintaining consistently high levels of performance.”
Adil Homi Palia of Surat stood as umpire during the India vs West Indies (Women) series in January 2011. He was the third umpire at the fourth and fifth One-Day Internationals (ODI) at Rajkot on January 18 and 19, 2011 and on-field umpire for the first, second and third T-20 matches at the Sardar Patel Stadium, Motera, Ahmedabad on January 22, 23 and 24, 2011.

Keki Doodhwala was his on-field colleague for the ODIs and the first two T-20 matches. Doodhwala was the TV umpire for the third T-20, as per ESPN Cricinfo. Doodhwala and Palia had also officiated at the Maharashtra Premier League, a mini version of the Indian Premier League, in May last year played at the D. Y. Patil Sports Academy in New Bombay and in Poona, which was telecast live on Neo Sports, adds an e-mail from Pervez Mehta highlighting umpiring achievements.
