Doctorate for Dalal

Jeroze Dalal was awarded a PhD by the SNDT (Shreemati Nathibai Damodar Thackersey) Women’s University in Bombay for her thesis on "Clinical Research in India: Current Challenges and Future Directions,” in September 2010. A graduate in microbiology and a postgraduate in chemistry, the experienced clinical research professional now works with GlaxoSmith-Kline Pharmaceuticals (India) Limited, her father-in-law Minoo B. Dalal informed Parsiana.

Dalal, a first rank holder in BEd in Special Education for Visually Impaired Children, also has experience in the field of leprosy and malnutrition at a leading hospital in Bombay. According to the write-up, Dalal is the only Parsi lady to obtain a doctorate in clinical research.
