Worthy role models

In the July 21, 2010 issue of Parsiana you have highlighted the lives of two wonderful ladies who made a difference for the better because they cared for others — Anu Aga and Villoo Poonawalla — both incidentally of Poona, and who are worthy role models ("Accolades for Aga” and "The quiet giver”).

However, the marriages column was distressing — only five or six couples have married within the fold — a harsh reality of our dwindling community. To each his own. But one wonders how many of these interfaith marriages last and for how long. Adaptability and tolerance must often be taxed beyond the limit!
