That’s the truth

We are out to ruin ourselves;/ That’s the truth.

We have joined the suicide squad;/ That’s the truth.

We do not sacrifice for our dearest religion;/ That’s the truth.

We are just plain selfish;/ But say we are modern;/ That’s the truth.

We love to close our eyes,/ Choose not to see the truth;/ Unfortunately, that’s the truth.

We prefer to live in luxury and perish,/ rather than bear hardships and flourish;/ That’s the truth.

We want to be called modern, forward and marry out of the fold;/ That’s the truth.

We desire to excel in everything;/ But need not, in religious values;/ That’s the truth.

No one can stop us from kamikaze; /Others only ridicule and giggle;/ That’s the truth.

Ahura, grant us awakening, so that truth we seek;/ You are our only savior;/ And that’s the truth.
