Why whine?
Sal Mubarak hojo tamné AA-YZ 1379/ I wish and pray, no matter what, everything will be just fine./ Our aim after all is to earn enough to enjoy wine and dine!
Happen what may to our dwindling population, why whine?/ Ahura will surely look after all this, why sit and pine?
Let’s just bother about personal things — it’s me and mine/ Why think, who married outside and is lost for ever, in the progeny line?
We mollycoddle our bawaji bachhas; so what if they don’t shine/ They are a rare species, can’t be pushed or made to stand erect on their spine!
We have stopped thinking and worrying, remaining cool to world opine,/ In our life, there is always reason to dance, dine and wine.
NB: Please wake up… Think about our great religion… for Ahura’s sake, do not be selfish, let not our past glory be overshadowed by today’s lackadaisical attitude. Let us follow the footsteps of our ancestors, who did their all to save Zoroastrianism.
