BPP: image makeover

In an effort to (improve their) "communicate with the Parsi Zoroastrian community” the Bombay Parsi Punchayet (BPP) issued a public notice in the Jam-e-Jamshed of July 5, 2009 calling on printers to quote for publishing the BPP Review on a monthly or bimonthly basis.
"The BPP is looking for a printer who can edit, design, print and post/distribute the magazine,” states the notice. "To qualify, the printer must have 4-color offset and pinning facilities in-house and must submit a list of machinery. Editorial and design capabilities in-house would be preferred but not mandatory. The printer must also indicate the time frame for printing and delivery, once artworks are approved.”
The last date for submission of tenders was July 14, 2009.
The BPP is also designing a new logo for the trust. It may make its debut with the first issue of the new magazine assuming someone bids for it.
And the unofficial voice of the BPP, the WAPIZ Page, announced in The Free Press Journal of July 10, 2009 that the BPP has launched a website www.bpppaidast.in for information on "which Parsi/Irani has died, when is the paidust and uthamna, in which bungli, etc.” The WAPIZ Page noted that there was "no need for Jame or Mumbai Samachar” any longer as presumably Parsis only read newspapers to find out who has died.
There is a possibility that the Federation of Parsi Zoroastrians Anjumans of India may be holding their annual general meeting on September 5th and 6th 2009. No circulars have been issued as yet for the three year overdue meeting.
