Parsiana website

I’ve been going through the archived issues on the Parsiana website and would like to know if the content of all the issues has been archived properly. From what I can see, all the contents are not uniformly archived from all the issues.

Would it not be a good idea to convert the hard copy of every issue into a PDF document file and place it on your website instead of taking chosen bits and pieces of the issues in an HTML format? That way the entire issue can be downloaded, printed and read.

It’s worth doing the exercise like a mini project of sorts. Parsiana has really superb coverage of key events in our community’s history and some years from now I feel it’ll contribute towards being a single-point of reference for our community happenings, events and issues over the years.

We could put the entire archives on the web but the cost of storage space would be very high. Hence we restricted the material. Archival CDs are available for sale from the period 1969 to 2005.

We had placed the entire issue on the web for a while but received a very poor response from subscribers hence discontinued the practice as the cost was high.
