Energetic venture

Poona-based Forbes Marshall, a leading process efficiency and energy conservation company, has entered into a joint venture (JV) with Belgium’s Vyncke Energietechniek N.V. The MoU (memorandum of understanding) was signed in mid March 2009. Vyncke offers custom-made energy plants that convert biomass and industrial waste into clean energy. "The new company will leverage Forbes’ network in India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh…We will also be tapping Vyncke’s expertise in combustion,” director Naushad Forbes is quoted in Business India, April 5, 2009.

Naushad Forbes: new joint venture for energy

The energy plants will have to be custom built, given the different properties of biomass or agricultural byproducts such as groundnut kernels and bagasse, the magazine adds. "The businesses of the two companies complement each other and provide a platform to offer the best technology and the lowest cost of ownership. Through this JV Indian customers would benefit from a new paradigm — global energy technology — delivered locally by Forbes Vyncke,” states machinist.in
