Twelve-year-old Sashika Bomi Patell of Hyderabad participated in Festive Flowers, an Ikebana exhibition held on Children’s Day, November 14, 2008, where youngsters depicted various festivals through Japanese style flower arrangements. Patell’s free style arrangement, signifying Navroz and done in a sés, was much appreciated. The orange gladioli represented atash while the three white Oriental liliums denoted humata, hukhta and huvrashta.
